1 FISCAL YEAR 2026/27 GENERAL FUND/OPERATIONS BUDGET Report: ROBERT BARRON III, ASSISTANT CITY/FINANCE DIRECTOR Recommendation : It is recommended that Council review and discuss the Operational Budget for Fiscal Year 2026/27. Description: This is a routine item that is a part of the annual budget process. This is review of the General Fund Operations budget and financial outlook planning. This will appear on a future item for Council review and approval. 3
2 REVIEW OF PROPOSED REQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AND SPECIALTY PAY FOR THE THERAPY CANINE HANDLER Report: STEVEN D. MCCULLEY, CHIEF OF POLICE Recommendation : Staff recommends the Council approve the Police Department's request for an additional School Resource Officer (SRO) position. Staff also recommend that the Council approve the Police Department's request to establish 2.5% specialty assignment pay for the current therapy canine handler (not to be retroactive). Description: This item concerns a proposal by the Atherton Police Department for an additional School Resource Officer (SRO) position at Menlo Atherton High School and establish an additional pay increase associated with being the handler for the Department’s therapy dog. 1
3 UPDATE ON MENLO COLLEGE CAMPUS HOUSING DEVELOPMENT Report: BRITTANY BENDIX, CONSULTING TOWN PLANNER Recommendation : It is recommended that the Council review and discuss the update regarding on-campus housing development at Menlo College and provide direction to staff on next steps. Description: This item concerns a report and update to Council on the status of housing development on the Menlo College campus. 1
