Resolution R-2025-5699 approves the gifting of Canine KC, a retired police dog, from the West Allis Police Department to Corporal Douglas Sayeg. Canine KC served with Corporal Sayeg from March 2019 until his retirement on October 24th, 2025, due to cancer. During their service, they were involved in numerous narcotics seizures, suspect tracking, building searches, and community demonstrations, earning recognition as K-9 Handler of the Year in 2025. The resolution stipulates that Corporal Sayeg will assume all future costs, liabilities, and responsibilities associated with Canine KC.
