The Planning & Zoning Commission has approved a request to rename the soccer fields and their amenities at the Susan B. Vincent Sportsplex to Paula Watkins Soccer Fields. The request was made by Debbie Yoder. The property is located at 4978 Hwy 84 W. The dedication honors Mrs. Watkins' significant contributions to the Laurel Soccer Association, including organizing and teaching programs within the Laurel School District, and her service on various community committees. Her family hopes to bring her back to Laurel if this honor is bestowed.
