This resolution, Resolution No. 2026-R01, establishes the procedures for the General Election to be held on May 2, 2026. The election will include positions for Mayor and Council Members for District 1 and District 3.

Key Dates and Deadlines:

  • Candidate Filing Opens: January 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
  • Candidate Filing Deadline: February 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Election Administration:

  • The City of Boerne has contracted with Kendall County for the conduct and supervision of the election.
  • The City Secretary is responsible for providing election supplies.
  • Kendall County Election Officer will recruit judges and clerks.

Voting Locations and Times:

  • Election Day Polling Place: Boerne City Hall, 447 N. Main Street, Boerne, Texas, or as designated by Kendall County Elections Administrator. Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Early Voting Location: 221 Fawn Valley Drive, Boerne, Texas, or as designated by Kendall County Elections Administrator.
  • Early Voting Period: April 20, 2026, through April 28, 2026.
  • Early Voting Hours: Generally 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, with specific exceptions for Saturday, April 25 (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and Monday/Tuesday, April 27-28 (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.).
