State Legislative Appropriation - Mission Support Agreement: Rural Medical School Branch in Yuma

Summary

The City of Yuma and Yuma Regional Medical Center (Onvida Health) have entered into a Mission Support Agreement to facilitate the development of a Regional Medical Branch of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix in Yuma. The City will distribute a $3,000,000 appropriation from the State of Arizona to Onvida Health. The funds are to be used for scholarships, faculty and staff expenses, and other purposes directly related to the development and operation of the medical branch in Yuma. The agreement term is from the Effective Date (January __, 2026) through June 30, 2028. Onvida Health must expend all funds for acceptable uses within the City by the end of the Term.
