RES 160 Authorizing the Mayor to execute a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the City of Shreveport and the Downtown Development Authority and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (A/Taylor, B/ Brooks)

This resolution authorizes the Mayor of Shreveport to execute a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement (CEA) with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) for services to be provided in 2026. The agreement allows the DDA to continue its annual services for the downtown area. The City will provide $279,830 from the General Fund to the DDA for these services, payable in twelve monthly installments. The DDA's responsibilities include landscape maintenance, litter removal, sidewalk cleaning, power washing, street lighting maintenance, and banner installation/maintenance. The agreement has a term from January 21, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The DDA is required to use best efforts to hire locally and ensure fair representation of minorities and females in its workforce and in the purchase of goods and services.
