This ordinance proposes to rezone four parcels of land located on the west side of Greenwood Lane, approximately 145 feet north of Luciana Circle, from R-1-7 Single-Family Residential Zoning District to I-1 Light Industrial Zoning District. The purpose of this rezoning is to allow for the expansion of an existing overnight truck parking facility on adjacent properties that are already zoned I-1. The subject properties are currently undeveloped and wooded. The MPC Staff recommends approval, noting that the reduced suitability for residential development due to the adjacent industrial zoning may warrant the change. Potential negative impacts on nearby multi-family residential properties across Greenwood Lane could be mitigated during the site plan review process. The Metropolitan Planning Commission Board unanimously recommended approval of this application.
