ORD 14 Closing and abandoning a portion of a 20’ wide drainage dedication in the North Shreveport Business Center District No. 3 Subdivision, in Section 23 (T18N-R14W), and to otherwise provide with respect thereto:

This ordinance officially closes and abandons a portion of a 20-foot-wide drainage dedication located in the North Shreveport Business Center District No. 3 Subdivision, specifically behind 1814 North Market Street (between Lots 2, 3, 4, and 14). The request was made by Mr. Randy Noble of Polaris Services, LLC, representing The Fortis Company, LLC, who owns property on both sides of the dedication and intends to combine these areas for future development. The city will retain a permanent drainage servitude over the abandoned area to protect existing sub-surface drainage facilities. The Metropolitan Planning Commission recommended approval on January 7, 2026, and no property owners are expected to be adversely affected. The ordinance is scheduled for introduction on February 24, 2026, and final passage on March 10, 2026.
