The Board of Supervisors will consider approving the Fourth Amendment to Lease for the Riverside County Probation Department's facility at 1201 Research Park Drive, Suite 100, Riverside. This amendment extends the lease for five years, from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031, with two additional one-year option periods. The total cost for the five-year extension is $2,517,466, funded entirely by State Funds. The monthly rent will increase from $29,660.13 to $30,549.93 in the first year, with a 3% annual increase thereafter. Custodial service costs will also increase significantly, from $1,250.00 per month to $4,500.00 per month. The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under existing facilities and common sense exemptions.
