This resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the existing professional services contract with Occumed Plus – McKinney, L.P. The amendment, effective March 1, 2026, continues the provision of medical services and supplies for City of McKinney employees and their eligible dependents enrolled in the City's self-funded healthcare benefit plan. The amendment updates several sections of the original agreement dated December 16, 2015:

  • Section 2.8 (Other Duties of Contractor): Contractor must verify enrollee eligibility by contacting Cigna Health & Life Insurance Company.
  • Section 4.1 (Preferred Provider Arrangement): Occumed Plus will be the City's Preferred Provider, with enrollees paying a City-determined copay for covered services.
  • Section 5.2 (Notices): Updates the addresses for official notices between the City and the Contractor.
  • Exhibit A (Covered Services): This exhibit is replaced entirely, detailing specific employment and clinical services with associated costs. Notably, employees on the "City Care" or "City Care Plus" plans will have a $0 co-pay, while those on the "HDHP" plan will have a $20 office visit cost. Any new services offered by the Contractor will be considered "Covered Services" upon seven days' notice to the City and mutual agreement on pricing.
