(Sheriff's Department) Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Agreement

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Probation Department are seeking approval for Amendment Number Fifteen to their agreement with Public Communications Services, Inc. (PCS). This amendment will extend the contract for inmate telephone system and services for an additional 18 months, from May 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027. The total maximum contract sum will increase by $19,494,000, bringing the new total to $49,818,000. This extension is necessary to ensure uninterrupted services while the County completes the solicitation and implementation of a successor contract, which is anticipated to be completed by Spring 2027. The amendment also updates the County-mandated provision regarding Compliance with Fair Chance Employment Hiring Practices. The Sheriff's Department will serve as the administrator of the system.
