Trails and Greenway Update

This item provides an update on the city's trails and greenway initiatives. Staff will present information on recent trail improvements and a conceptual map for the Lexington Greenway, which has been adopted by City Council. The conceptual map, adopted on October 13, 2025, serves as a planning tool for future development, aiming to connect neighborhoods, parks, and schools with safe walking and biking paths. It builds upon previous plans and considers factors like flood maps, hydrology, and existing infrastructure. While it identifies desired connections, it does not represent final engineering designs, allowing for flexibility as projects advance.
