The City Council is asked to authorize agreements totaling $768,475 for utility relocation necessary for the Town Branch Trail Phase IV & V project. This includes $686,250 for Kentucky American Water (KAW) to relocate various waterlines (24" Ductile Iron and 12" Cast Iron pipes) and $82,225 for Kentucky Utilities (KU) to move 3-phase power distribution lines and three utility poles. The project will construct 1.5 miles of shared-use path connecting Town Branch Trail Phase III, Phase VI, and Townley Center. Funds for this FY26 expenditure are being secured through a budget amendment, which is currently in process. KAW's work is estimated to take 40-60 working days, and KU's work 30 working days, upon authorization.
