The City Council is asked to authorize an amendment to Contract No. 8002780 with W. A. Rasic Construction Company, Inc. for on-call sewer and storm drain repair services. This amendment will increase the contract by $2,000,000, bringing the total not-to-exceed amount to $3,200,000 over the remaining two years of the contract term. Additionally, a resolution of appropriation is required to fund this increase, with $1,750,000 to be appropriated from the Sewer Fund. The city owns and maintains approximately 350 miles of sanitary sewer mains (many over 100 years old) and 26 miles of storm drain lines. The existing contract, approved in January 2025, has already utilized approximately $1,000,000 of its initial budget, necessitating the additional funding to ensure timely repairs and maintain infrastructure integrity.
