Presentation by the Central Florida Regional Planning Council

The DeSoto County Planning Commission will receive a presentation from the Central Florida Regional Planning Council (CFRPC) regarding the update of the DeSoto County Comprehensive Plan to the Year 2050. This update is being funded by a $75,000 Competitive Florida Technical Assistance Grant awarded by the State of Florida Department of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The project, in partnership with CFRPC, will include public meetings, an existing conditions and data analysis, a project website, and the drafting of amendments. The presentation at this meeting will provide an overview of the project and its schedule. No specific actions are requested from the Planning Commission at this time.
