The Public Transit Advisory Commission (PTAC) met on November 18, 2025, to discuss several key transit issues.

Fares Discussion: The commission debated the reintroduction of fares, ultimately recommending that any fee increases should be postponed until transit service is restored to baseline levels and new resources are committed. They also agreed to discuss airport parking fees with the Airport Commission before making recommendations.

Tiger Line Discussion: Concerns were raised about the City subsidizing low-cost shuttle routes and the impact of driver shortages on fixed routes due to the Tiger Line service. PTAC suggested evaluating an effective Tiger Line system and integrating it with City routes rather than opposing the agreement outright. They also noted the need for additional drivers for the new MU Health Care route.

Pedestrian Safety Ordinance (B265-25): PTAC discussed the ordinance, with members noting that bus stop placement follows study findings and that bus drivers are not permitted to drop passengers off at intersections. They also highlighted the need for infrastructure investments near bus stops to improve pedestrian access and safety.
