Amending the FY 2026 Annual Budget by appropriating funds in the amount of $200,000.00 to provide for Public Works Department capital improvement projects.

This ordinance amends the FY 2026 Annual Budget to reallocate $200,000 for Public Works capital improvement projects. The funds are transferred between existing capital project accounts:

• $100,000 is moved from the Municipal Service Center South Project (Account No. 44008810-604990 00632) to the North Salt Dome Project (Account No. 44008830-604990 00935). This will fund the replacement of the existing 20-year-old salt dome, which is deteriorating due to age and leaks, with a new fabric structure.
• $100,000 is moved from the Annual Sidewalks Project (Account No. 44008830-604990 40162) to the St. Joseph Sidewalk Project (Account No. 44008830-604990 00967). These funds will be used for sidewalk panel replacement along St. Joseph Street between Ash Street and Park Avenue. The majority of this project is anticipated to be funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

This is a transfer between capital projects and has no short-term fiscal impact beyond the reallocation. The projects align with the city's strategic goals for reliable infrastructure and safe communities.
