h) 4th Quarter CIP Progress Report

This report provides a quarterly update on the progress of various Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for the Electric and Water departments. It details the status, timelines, and costs for projects across different phases, from preliminary design to construction and ongoing annual maintenance.

Key highlights include:

• Electric Projects: Several projects are in preliminary or final design stages, with completion dates ranging from 2025 to 2035. Notable projects include switchgear and transformer replacements, intersection improvements, and undergrounding initiatives. Some projects, like the Mill Creek Sub Transmission Connect and New South Side 161/13.8 Kv Substation, are on indefinite hold.
• Water Projects: Projects include well replacements, main replacements, and upgrades to storage and pump stations. Some projects are awaiting funding or reevaluation of timing based on long-range planning. The Water Treatment Plant Upgrade - Phase 2 has a significant estimated cost of $38,000,000 and is slated to begin in 2029.
• Ongoing Annual Projects: Both departments have numerous ongoing projects for system maintenance, expansion, and upgrades, such as new service installations, main replacements, and streetlight conversions, with substantial total project costs.
