Ridership Reports

This report details ridership data for August, September, and October 2025, comparing it to the previous year.

Fixed Route Ridership:

• August 2025 saw a -5% decrease in total monthly passengers (41,248) compared to August 2024 (43,332).
• Year-to-date (YTD) fixed route ridership is down -16% (366,377 in 2025 vs. 434,210 in 2024).
• Significant decreases were observed in 'Passes & Tickets' (-17.1% in August) and 'AASD' (-33.2% in August).
• The report notes a major service modification in July 2024, transitioning evening and Saturday bus service to VT Connector, which impacts YTD comparisons.

Demand Response Ridership:

• August 2025 showed a -1% decrease in total monthly passengers (7,872) compared to August 2024 (7,927).
• YTD demand response ridership is up 6% (63,589 in 2025 vs. 60,042 in 2024).
• Notable increases in August included 'VTII-Sr' (+13.88%) and 'CONNECTOR' (+19.34%).

October 2025 Data:

• Fixed route monthly passengers decreased by -3% (53,839) compared to October 2024 (55,353), with YTD down -13% (469,507 in 2025 vs. 537,467 in 2024).
• Demand response monthly passengers decreased slightly by -1% (8,776) compared to October 2024 (8,877), with YTD up 5% (80,243 in 2025 vs. 76,543 in 2024).
