Proclamations: - Black History Month - Career & Technical Education Month

The City Council is recognizing two observances in February 2026:

• Black History Month: This proclamation honors the achievements and contributions of Black Americans, acknowledges the ongoing need to dismantle racism, and celebrates Appleton's diverse heritage. It highlights a local exhibit on Black experiences in the Fox Cities.
• Career and Technical Education Month: This proclamation recognizes the importance of career and technical education in developing a skilled workforce, connecting students with career opportunities, and fostering economic growth. It encourages community support for these educational programs.
