This item requests approval for cost-neutral changes to the Department of Utilities' table of organization to improve operational efficiency. The proposed changes include:

  • Reassigning two Instrumentation & Control Technician (ICT) positions: One ICT will report to the Water Operations Supervisor, and another will report to the Wastewater Operations Supervisor. These positions will be removed from the Technical Services Manager's supervision.
  • Retitling the Technical Services Manager position: The title will be changed to "Lab and Regulatory Compliance Manager" to better reflect the role's current responsibilities.

These changes aim to align supervision with actual work functions, clarify roles, and improve communication and problem-solving. No salary adjustments, new positions, or budget impacts are anticipated.
