Consideration of a Request to Release FY 2026 Contingent Reserve funds for the Office of Climate Action

This item requests the release of $200,000 from the FY 2026 Contingent Reserve funds for the Office of Climate Action. The office has spent and encumbered approximately $460,500 of its original FY 2026 budget of $400,000, plus a $133,944 carry-forward from FY 2025. This leaves a remaining balance of $73,444 for the rest of the fiscal year. The requested funds would bring the total available balance to $273,444, allowing for the completion of several planned projects, including Eco-City CHAMPs, Heat Mitigation initiatives, and Community Choice Aggregation.
